Pune Crime News | Two goons arrested from Handewadi road for extorting money from Pan Shop owner

Pune: Policenama online  – Pune Crime News | The Pune police a few days ago arrested the Koyta gang members for spreading terror in the locality. The cops taught them a lesson by parading them on the road and the act of police was appreciated by the Punekars. On Thursday the citizens came ahead and got hold of the two goons who were extorting money from the Pan Shop owner on Handewadi Road in Pune. (Pune Crime News)

The two goons have been identified as Amar Vitthal Deshmane (23) a resident of Mayur Park in Handewadi Chowk and Ganesh Gautam Korde (22) a resident of Kunjirwadi in Hadapsar. Mohammad Naushad Muzaffar Hussain (26) a resident of Hadapsar has filed a complaint in Kondhwa police station.

The incident took place at Ifra Pan Shop on Handewadi Road at around 8:30 pm on Thursday.

Kondhwa police station assistant police inspector Ganesh Torgal, an investigation officer said, ” The complainant owns a Pan Shop at Handewadi area. While he was in the shop the accused came to his shop and demanded extortion money from him. He refused to give it and the accused beat him up and forcibly removed Rs 1,500 for his drawer and ran away. The complainant shouted for help and hearing the shout few people gathered. The accused threw the Koyta in the air and threatened the people who were gathered that they are goons of the area and if anyone comes to get hold of them then they will kill them. Soon after knowing about the incident Undri Beat Marshal Laxman Kale reached the spot and with the help of the people gathered caught both the accused. A search is on for their third accomplice. We are further investigating the case.”
