Pune Cyber Police, NGO jointly launch Cyber Security Awareness drive
Pune : Policenama online – The Pune Cyber Police and NGO Save the Children jointly started the Cyber Security Awareness campaign on Thursday. Two vans will travel across Pune displaying cyber security tips, steps to check cybercrime and explaining the process of lodging complaints with the cyber police.
The vans will visit various schools in and around Pune from January 27 to February 1. People will be made aware about cyber security through audio and video clips and posters, etc.
According to the Pune police, they got 5,523 complaints related to cyber crime in 2018. The complaints went up to 7,795 in 2019 while 19,023 complaints were registered in 2021.
