Pune : Pune Rains | The monsoon season has regained momentum in Pune, thanks to favorable atmospheric conditions. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that the district, including Pune city, will experience cloudy skies and moderate rainfall for the next two days.

The IMD has also predicted the likelihood of heavy rain in the hilly regions. After a lull in rainfall for the past ten days, the showers have resumed their activity. The city of Pune witnessed cloudy skies for the second consecutive day on Monday, with intermittent light showers throughout the day. There were a few instances of heavy rainfall as well, providing much-needed relief from the scorching heat.

The cloudy weather and rainfall have led to a slight drop in temperature, bringing respite to the residents. However, the rain caught many people off guard during their evening commute, causing a rush among the citizens. The hilly areas, such as Ghat Matha, experienced intensified rainfall compared to the previous days.

The forecast from the IMD has brought relief to the citizens, as it indicates that the rainy spell is expected to continue for at least a week. This news has been well-received, as the monsoon plays a vital role in replenishing water sources and maintaining the agricultural landscape in the region.
