Pune Rural Police | Gaurav Lakde of Phaltan arrested in Ganesh Raskar murder case

Pune : Policenama online –  Pune Rural Police |  Gaurav Lakde was absconding in murder case of notorious goon Ganesh Raskar. Ganesh Raskar was shot dead by Gaurav Lakde. For the last 10 days, Gaurav Lakde was absconding. He has now been arrested by the police. So far, police have arrested three people in the case.

Police got information that he was hiding in a sugarcane farm in Shivare of Mirewadi in Phaltan taluka. Jejuri police cordoned off the sugarcane field around 10 pm on Monday (Dec. 26) and caught Gaurav Lakde.

According to the information received from the police, Gaurav Lakde had killed the notorious goon Ganesh Raskar with the help of one of his accomplice Nikhil Dhware. The incident took place on July 16 at 7 pm near a shop adjacent to Nira bus stand. The accused had killed Gunda Ganesh Raskar by firing on his head and jaw.

Even after the arrest of the three, the main accused Gaurav Lakde was still absconding. Police searched for him in Satara, Sangli and Pandharpur. Meanwhile, police got information that Gaurav Lakde was hiding in a sugarcane farm on the outskirts of Mirewadi (Taluka Phaltan). Police arrested him by laying a trap. Accused Gaurav Lakde was arrested and produced before Judge Patil. Accused Gaurav Lakde has been remanded in police custody till July 30.
