Pune: Policenama online – Pune Police News | A meeting was held between the Pune City Police and heads of various social organisations to spread awareness on the law and security. The meeting was jointly organised by the Bandhubhav Bhaichara Foundation and the New Grace English Medium School in Kondhwa to mark the August Kranti Din on Thursday (Aug 9). (Pune Police News)
Bandhubhav Bhaichara Foundation Founder-President Shabbir Shaikh and Yasin Shaikh as well as New Grace English Medium School Chairman Jakiuddin Shaikh took the initiative in this regard.
The meeting was held in the school’s hall in Kondhwa. ACP (Crime Branch) Sunil Tambe, PI Uttam Kadam, PI, Kondhwa Police Station, Sandeep Bhosale and PI Sanjay Mogle guided the people present.
ACP Tambe said that a bigger meeting of all citizens will be held with the senior police officials to guide people on the topic.
Nazir Tamboli, Mukti Shakir and Maulana Rajin Asharfi also spoke.
Iqbal Shaikh gave the introductory speech and also proposed a vote of thanks. Around 150 people, including dignitaries, New Grace English Medium School’s principal and staff, women of all age groups and head of social organisations were present. The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere and people responded well. A bigger programme will be held next week.
