Mumbai,June 12 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Nana Patole on Monday termed agriculture minister Abdul Sattar as an “extortionist” and demanded he be immediately expelled from the cabinet.

Patole in a press statement alleged that in Akola, some persons raided and demanded money from businessmen by taking Sattar’s name

Patole claimed the raid team included Sattar’s personal assistant Deepak Gawli and many other private individuals.

He claimed the Agriculture Minister himself has said the raids have been conducted at his request and that nothing wrong has been done. .

“Sattar is not worried at all about the farmers. He has not taken a single decision for the welfare of farmers since he became a minister,” Patole said.

“It is very serious that the agriculture minister and his office are ready to rush and recover instead of making sure that farmers get fertilizers and seeds on time in view of the Khariff season”.

“This extortionist agriculture minister should be immediately expelled from the cabinet,” said Patole.
