Vishrambaug police arrest a couple who stole bike from Shaniwarwada area; five vehicle theft cases cracked

Pune : Policenama onlinePune Crime News | The Vishrambaug police have arrested a couple who stole a bike from Shaniwarwada area. Five cases of two-wheeler theft have been detected after the arrests and five two-wheelers of different companies have been seized. The operation was conducted in the Shaniwarwada area. The arrested accused have been identified as Vicky Dada Gaikwad (26) and a woman (22) from Satara. A person visiting Shaniwarwada had parked his bike near the historic place. It was stolen from the parking lot. A case was filed against an unknown thief at the Vishrambaug Police Station on February 10.

 

While searching for the accused in the crime , police constables Kharat and Patil found a couple suspiciously inspecting a two-wheeler. The police detained them and conducted a thorough investigation. During interrogation, the accused confessed that they stole five bikes from the Shaniwarwada area. They also said that the stolen two-wheelers were hidden at their native village. The police went to Satara and seized four motorbikes and one moped belonging to different companies and cracked five cases of vehicle theft registered at the Vishrambaug police station.

 

This action was taken by a team comprising Sr PI Sunil Mane, PI Dada Gaikwad, PSI Rakesh Sarde, PSI Manoj Barure, police constables Ashok Mane, Hemant Palande, Harshal Dudum, Mayur Bhosale, Prakash Borute, Sagar Gonjari, Ashish Kharat, Rahul More, Arjun Thorat, Satappa Patil under the guidance of CP Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Rajendra Dahale, DCP Sandeep Singh Gill and ACP Satish Govekar.
