Namo Shetkari Yojana: 85 lakh farmers to benefit from Namo Shetkari Yojana after Dasara; PM Modi to handover money in Shirdi
PUNE: Policenama online -The state government had announced Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Yojana in April on the lines of Pantpradhan Kisan Sanman Yojana to give ₹6,000 per year to farmers. Accordingly, 85 lakh farmers who have received the 14th instalment of the PM Kisan Yojana, will get the first instalment of the Namo Kisan Yojana on Thursday from PM Narendra Modi at Shirdi. Sources in the agriculture department said that the district wise list of beneficiaries would be finalised on Sunday.
The parameters like completing the e-KYC, linking Aadhaar number with the bank account had not been completed. These are compulsory for the 15th instalment. Same parameters are being used for the state scheme. For the 14th instalment of PM Kisan Yojana, 85 lakh farmers had been selected as beneficiaries.
MahaIT has been entrusted with the responsibility of creating a separate website for the state like the PM Kisan portal. The work is in the final phase. On Sunday, district wise lists of beneficiaries would be ready. The state government has allocated funds of ₹1,720 crore for the first instalment and it will be allocated to various banks on Monday. An instalment of ₹2,000 would be distributed to the beneficiaries in Shirdi on Thursday. Sources said that there would not be a significant difference in the number of beneficiaries of the Namo Kisan Yojana.
