PUNE : Pune Crime News | A woman poured boiling water on her husband and tried to kill him after being told by her brother to do so as he was angry because his brother had asked him to return the borrowed money. Mahadev Arjun Jadhav (30) has received serious burn injuries and he is being treated in a private hospital.

 

The Warje police have registered an FIR of attempt to murder against Kavita Mahadev Jadhav (28), a resident of Shivne. The incident took place at Shivne on Thursday at 3.30 am. Kavita Jadhav is absconding.

 

 

According to the police, Mahadev Jadhav has a business of selling vegetables. He sells vegetables at weekly markets in different places. His in-laws stay at Nalegaon Warula in Ahmednagar. His brother-in-law Gorakh Chhagan Rathod stays there. He wanted to construct a house in the village and he had borrowed ₹2.40 lakh from Jadhav on different occasions. Since Jadhav wanted to buy land in his village, he was asking Rathod to return the money. On July 11, he called up Rathod and asked for money. Since he did not give a proper answer, Jadhav was angry and had a quarrel with his wife Kavita. On July12, Kavita’s youngest brother Navnath Rathod told her that since her husband was constantly asking for money, she should burn him and return to the village. The complainant heard their conversation.

 

 

The complainant was sleeping at night after having dinner. At 3.30 to 4 am, his wife Kavita suddenly poured hot water on Jadhav and ran away. Mahadev’s brother Suresh admitted him to a hospital where he is undergoing treatment. API Babar is probing the case.
