An FIR against Gopal Dattatraya Bansode (30), a resident of Alandi Devachi has been filed under sections 354, 354 (D), 504 and 506 of the IPC and the IT Act. A 27-year-old girl has lodged a complaint with the Dighi police on August 29.
According to the police, the girl refused to marry the accused. The accused, who was angry, called her up and abused her. He sent threatening messages to her email ID and created her fake account and uploaded her photos. The accused called up her would-be husband and defamed her and tried to break their marriage. The complaint says that the accused had deliberately done this to defame her.
