Police naik suspended for irresponsible behaviour in Pune
Pune : Policenama online – Pune Police | Police Naik Bhausaheb Ramhari Khatke stationed at the Mundhwa police station has been immediately suspended for neglecting his work. The suspension order has been issued by DCP Namrata Patil.
It was observed that while doing his duty, Khatke was maligning officers and staff of the police department and was violating the norms and rules of the police department. Khatke has also been accused of irresponsible and disobedient behaviour. During the initial probe, it was found that his behaviour was likely to affect the discipline of the police force and hence, he has been suspended.
Bhausaheb Khatke has violated the Maharashtra Civil Service Act and he has brought disrepute to the Pune police. Khatke cannot work in a private company or do any business during the suspension period. He cannot leave the police headquarters. If he wants to leave the police headquarters, he will have to inform the Deputy Commissioner (HQ), Pune and take permission. He will have to present himself before the reserved PI, the order says. Khatke, while on duty, had taken money from handcart owners after threatening them of police action.
