Pune Crime Branch Police book industrialist Nanasaheb Gaikwad, son among three in extortion case

Policenama – Pune Crime branch Police booked industrialist Nanasaheb Gaikwad, son among three in an extortion case on Thursday.

A case has been lodged in Chaturshringi Police Station against Industrialist Nanasaheb Gaikwad, Ganesh aka Kedar Nanasaheb Gaikwad, and Deepak Nivrutti Gaware for allegedly demanding extortion of Rs two crore. A 25-year-old businessman has filed a case.

According to Police, the incident is connected with an old case that was lodge in 2010. Where accused industrialist had finalized a deal with complainant’s father regarding 90 guntha land-based in Balewadi. The rate was fixed Rs three lakh per guntha however then industrialists only gave Rs 15 lakh and avoided giving the remaining amount. since then the complainant is following up with Nanasaheb Gaikwad and Ganesh Gaikwad.

As the deal wasn’t completed industrialist Gaikwad father and son started demanding land Rs 2 crore to return the land and also threaten the complainant to shoot with a gun if demands land.

Meanwhile, the complainant reached Pune police where Amitabh Gupta, Pune Police Commissioner, Ravindra Shisave, Joint Commissioner, Pune Police, Ashok Morale, Additional Commissioner, Pune Police, Shrinivas Ghadge, Deputy Commissioner of Police guided the complainant to Anti extortion Cell of Pune Police. Based on it Pune Crime branch booked industrialist Nanasaheb Gaikwad, son among three. Balaji Pandhare, Senior Inspector is investigating the case.
