FIR registered against three including a lawyer; Tenant makes attempt to grab flat

Pune : Policenama onlinePune Crime News | An incident of a tenant trying to get the flat registered on his name by teaming up with a lawyer and preparing documents on the old stamp paper has come to light. (Pune Crime News)

 

A 60-year-old woman staying in Guru Nanak Nagar has lodged a complaint with the Kondhwa police station (236/23). Accordingly, the police have registered an FIR against Riaz Mohammad Hussain Shaikh (52), Mumtaz Riaz Shaikh (50), both residents of Ganga Avenue and Advocate Sudhir Shravan Sonvane (55), a resident of Pimple Gurav. The incident took place at Rosewood Society at Undri from June 15 to July 18, 2022 and January 10, 2023.

 

According to the information given by the police, the complainant had given his flat on rent to the accused Riaz Shaikh from February 10, 2022 to January 9, 2023 i.e for 11 months after making a leave and licence registered agreement. Shaikh colluded with Advocate Sonvane and prepared a fake leave and licence notarised agreement from December 11, 2016 to December 12, 2023 on a stamp paper of ₹500 which was issued in 2019.

 

It was mentioned in the agreement that the accused had given ₹30 lakh to the complainant by cash. The complainant’s photo was pasted on the agreement and fake signatures of the complainant and his wife were made and a fake document was prepared and he was cheated. PSI Birajdar is probing the case.
