Pune Crime News | Be careful! Drugs being sold at pan shops; Police issue WhatsApp number to lodge complaints

PUNE: Pune Crime News | A shocking information has come to light that drugs are being sold at pan shops in the city. The city police are taking stern action against such shops and a video about action being taken has been posted on the official Twitter handle of the city police.

“One of the touch points for making youths aware of drugs is the pan bidi shop,” the caption in the video posted by the Pune police says. A number has also been given where complaints can be lodged about sale of drugs.

The police have issued a message that the raids and the action will continue against those selling drugs. Youths are being advised to stay away from drugs.

From December 22, 2022 till now, drugs worth ₹8.53 crore have been seized and 118 accused have been arrested under the NDPS Act, said the city police.

If citizens find that drugs are being sold at a pan shop in their area, they should send a message on WhatsApp number 8975953100 or lodge a complaint on Twitter. After a complaint is received, the police will take action.
