Pune News: Two youths killed in mishap on Pune-Solapur highway
LONI KALBHOR (PUNE): Policenama online -Pune News | Two youths riding a two-wheeler were killed after they were crushed by a truck near a petrol pump at Kadamwakwasti on the Pune-Solapur highway on Saturday from midnight to 1 am.(Pune News)
Since the wheels of the truck went over them, the youths died on the spot. The Loni Kalbhor police admitted them to the hospital but they had succumbed to their injuries. The deceased have been identified as Ganesh Vitthal Havaldar (26) and Aditya Haridas Sathe (26), both residents of Mahadev Nagar, Hadapsar. Their death has cast a pall of gloom on the area.
According to the available information, Ganesh and Aditya were proceeding from Theur to their residence at Mahadev Nagar on the Pune-Solapur highway. When they had come near the petrol pump, the youths lost control of their vehicle and rammed into the road divider. Both of them were flung in the lane going towards Solapur. An unidentified truck went over them and they died on the spot.
Both of them had been admitted to a hospital but doctors pronounced them as brought dead. The Loni Kalbhor police arrived at the spot after they were informed. The panchnama has been carried out and the process of registering an FIR against the unknown truck driver is underway. The Loni Kalbhor police are carrying out further probe.
